Reimagining Sharks Hockey For Silicon Valley
We partnered with the San Jose Sharks on an extensive RFP initiative focused on reimagining the future of Sharks hockey for Silicon Valley. Through the “Feed The Frenzy” campaign platform, Fuel explored how hockey, technology, entertainment, sponsorship, and Bay Area culture could merge into a more immersive fan experience. The initiative combined strategic storytelling, experiential concepts, merchandise exploration, and business-driven innovation designed to evolve the Sharks brand into a modern entertainment franchise built for the next generation of fans, partners, and community.

HOW FUEL BUILDS A SPORTS FRANCHISE
Before creative concepts were developed, we analyzed the Sharks brand through the lens of fan psychology, city culture, sponsorship potential, arena experience, and long-term business growth. We spent a week in San Jose walking the city, studying the arena environment, talking with fans, and observing the culture firsthand. The objective was to create a strategic foundation capable of shaping storytelling, partnerships, engagement, and experiential growth throughout the Bay Area.

A RALLYING CRY FOR THE BAY
A feeding frenzy occurs when energy spreads uncontrollably through a group — creating momentum, chaos, and intensity that pulls everything into the moment. “Feed The Frenzy” was designed to channel that energy throughout Sharks hockey and the Bay Area, transforming the campaign into more than a tagline, but a rallying cry that united players, fans, sponsors, and community around a shared experience where the crowd fuels the team and the team fuels the city.
CREATIVE WITH A BITE
Our creative approach blended Sharks swagger with cinematic atmosphere, digital distortion, and tech-inspired visual treatments designed to feel immersive, energetic, and unmistakably San Jose. Inspired by the mystery beneath the surface, the campaign transformed the arena into a more immersive, cinematic gameday experience designed to deepen the connection between the Sharks and the Bay Area.

Many of the brand, experiential, and environmental concepts explored throughout this initiative reflected the future direction of both the franchise and modern sports venue design — blending immersive architecture, digital storytelling, fan participation, identity systems, and franchise-driven entertainment ecosystems.
